National Mathematics Day – 2022

National Mathematics Day was commemorated by the students of Math Club, Mathemagica Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati on 22^nd December 2022 during the morning assembly, to mark the birth anniversary of the Mathematical genius Sri Sreenivasa Ramanujan. Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon.Director & Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and Smt. S.Indira, Principal offered floral tributes to the portrait of Sri Ramanujan.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr.N.Satyanarayana Raju elucidated on the contributions made by Sri Sreenivasa Ramanujan to the Math and Scientific world. He also congratulated the students, teachers and Principle for their contributions made on this occasion. Various competitions were conducted on this occasion and the prizes were distributed to the students. Student Math Club Secretary delivered a speech on the bio sketch of Sri Sreenivasa Ramanujan. The students of Class VII, VIII presented a dance on the importance of Zero.  An exhibition of photos and books of great mathematicians and exhibits describing Math in Architecture, Nature, Art etc, were displayed on this occasion. The replica of Sri Padmanabha Swamy temple made by the students had been the special attraction of the day.

The programme concluded with Vote of Thanks proposed by the Math Club Secretary. The event was witnessed by parents, teachers and students.
