SWACHH BHARATH – SWACHH PARYATAN – 2022

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s S.V.Vidyalaya, Tirupati in collaboration with Indian Institution of Tourism and Travel Management  organized “Swachh Bharath – Swachh Paryatan”, a student awareness programme, emphasizing cleanliness on 22nd December 2022 in the school auditorium. Smt. S.Indira, Principal, Bhavan’s S.V.Vidyalaya welcomed the day’s Chief Guests Sri Ramana Prasad, Regional Director, A.P. Tourism Corporation, A.P. and Sri Sanjeev Reddy C.K., SAP Coordinator, I.I.T.T.M., Nellore to the gathering.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr.N.Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director & Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra said that culture is very important since it unites all the citizen and drives the Nation towards progress and this culture is promoted through Tourist places and Pilgrim centers. He added saying that Department of Tourism empowers the financial stability of the Nation and it is a minimum responsibility of all to keep the tourist places clean. He urged the students to be the ambassadors for the development of tourism and strive hard to keep their surroundings clean.

Sri Ramana Prasad garu, in his speech said that our country is an embodiment of several tourist places and tourism contributes 7% of G.D.P. to Nation’s income. The Swachh Bharat programme was started with a noble intention of promoting cleanliness in all the places and he appealed all the students to implement this prime idea – not to litter and not to let others litter.

Sri C.K. Sanjeeva Reddy garu, accentuated that cleanliness is an individual responsibility which should start from every one’s home. He also added that clean environment leads to healthy environment thereby positive energy. He administered an Oath to the students to keep their surroundings clean, not to litter and do not let others litter. Many competitions were conducted to the students on this occasion and winners were given prizes.

A documentary film sensitizing the students on the importance of sanitation in pilgrim centres was shown to the students followed by the cultural programmes performed by the students of Class IX. Tourist broachers and exquisite pieces of Art made by the students were displayed in the school auditorium.

The programme concluded with Vote of Thanks proposed by Smt. K. Punyavathi, P.G.T. Bhavan’s S.V.Vidyalaya. The programme was witnessed by parents, teachers and students
