Venkateswara Vidyalaya History
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati was inaugurated by Sri C. Subramaniam, former President, on the 2nd June 1990 in the presence of Sri S. Ramakrishnan, then Executive Secretary and Director General of the Bhavan and other eminent personalities of Bhavan and of the temple town.
Started functioning with 125 students from classes Kinder Garten to 3rd in 1990, subsequently, every year one class was added up to Class X. Today, the Vidyalaya has become a full fledged secondary school with a strength of 2000 students.
The school follows CBSE syllabus and provides instruction in Humanities, Science, Work Education, and Fine Arts. The guidelines of Vidyalaya are the achievement of the highest scholastic record, the development of a refined pattern of behavior, and an awareness of spiritual values.
Location of the school
The sprawling campus of the Vidyalaya in 10 acres is situated on Tirupati Bangalore bye-pass road near Alipiri in Tirupati at the foothills of Tirumala, the adobe of Lord Venkateswara. The environment is distinctively serene in every respect with beautiful landscapes scattered with enchanting trees. The tranquility and harmony of the ambiance create a highly conducive atmosphere for learning.
The Vidyalaya building
The Vidyalaya building is designed to have more than 70 spacious rooms for classrooms (All classrooms are smart rooms equipped with E-techs), Computer Science Labs, Fine Arts, Subject Clubs, an Administrative block other than all important courts, and track events for games and sports are being developed in different phases.
