Our school launched a month-long spoken Sanskrit camp, “Samskrita Sambhashana Sibiram,” on July 1, 2024. Nearly 100 stakeholders are attending the program. The event featured addresses by Dr. N Satyanarayana Raju and Prof. G.S.R. Krishna Murthy, emphasizing Sanskrit’s cultural and cognitive benefits. The initiative aims to inspire wider adoption of Sanskrit learning.
The Sanskrit Sibhiram valedictory on 30th July in our seminar hall featured students’ cultural programmes and speeches in Sanskrit by teachers. Our management member, Sri Venkateswarlu and our Director expressed joy in learning and propagating Sanskrit. Certificates were distributed, and the Principal gave a Sanskrit vote of thanks.
The entire programme was conducted orally, with students learning clock timings, numbers up to 100, gender distinctions, and singular and plural forms. Household articles were brought in and named in Sanskrit, enhancing practical vocabulary. Pamphlets were distributed to help students remember numbers and the Ikya Manthram. Additionally, students were taught Sanskrit songs and were encouraged to write Saral Sanskrit exams. This immersive experience was designed to foster a deeper appreciation and understanding of the Sanskrit language.
